Dear Friends and Neighbors--

I have been elected to represent you in the state legislature.  This section outlines my point of view on some of the major issues confronting us today. Click on the subjects below for details.

I am proud to call myself a conservative. I believe in limited government and personal responsibility. I also believe in thinking for myself and listening to constituents.

In developing my positions on important matters, I don’t pay attention to anyone’s talking points. Instead I talk with people from across the political spectrum, read widely, and look closely at the lessons of history. So while some of what you read in the sections below may be familiar to you, I hope you’ll find a few new ideas to think about.

And I hope I have a chance to hear and learn from your views as well.
